KEPCO E&C held the Power Engineering School (PES) winter camp, a program to develop future talents in the power technology field, non-face-to-face from January 19 to 29.

Due to the corona, non-face-to-face training with the Onnara video system was conducted beginning with the PES summer camp in August of last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire process of this winter camp was also conducted live through online ZOOM.

This winter camp is divided into the 1st (January 19 - 22, 44 people) and the 2nd (January 26 - 29, 42 people) programs, and a total of 86 sophomore and junior students from 35 major universities nationwide, including Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University recommended by each university participated.

The program consists of basic education in the field of nuclear power/thermal power/renewable and renewable energy, recruitment introduction, desired personnel characters, and special lectures in humanities.

Since the first PES summer camp began in July 2011, participants' response has been very high each year. To date, about 1,200 college students have completed the curriculum.

KEPCO E&C plans to continue developing the PES education program for future engineers interested in electric power technology.
