Overview
At KEPCO E&C, we are actively playing a key role in the global energy market beyond Korea. We successfully provided A/E and NSSS design services for Korea's first exported nuclear power plant in the UAE, showcasing our technological expertise, with Units 1, 2, and 3 in commercial operation and Unit 4 nearing completion. The project owner recognized our technological capabilities and awarded us the follow-up long-term engineering services contract for the UAE nuclear power plant..
We are also expanding our business scope from traditional engineering to EPC projects that provide integrated services, including design, procurement of major equipment, and construction. As part of this effort, we have secured the EPC contract for the expansion of the Takoradi T2 power plant in Ghana, further broadening our role in the global power plant sector. Furthermore, KEPCO E&C has demonstrated the excellence of Korea's nuclear power technology by obtaining the NRC Design Certification (NRC-DC) in the US for the APR1400 and the latest European Utility Requirements Certification (EUR Rev.E) for the standard design of the APR1000, a Korean mid-sized NPP model for export to Europe. Involvement in the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project is also expanding our presence in the nuclear fusion sector, which is recognized as a source of clean energy for the future.
