Cogeneration

Cogeneration facilities - heat source facilities that supply district energy - include heat generation equipment such as boilers, turbines/generators, and incinerators, as well as heat pump, cooling systems, heat exchangers, heat storage tanks, and other heat supply facilities. They produce district heating by utilizing exhaust steam or extraction steam generated from steam turbines.
