Environmental impact assessment

The environmental impact assessment is conducted to induce sound and sustainable development by predicting and evaluating the impact of the plan or development project on the environment. KEPCO E&C boasts experts with diverse experience and the latest evaluation technology in meteorology, geology, biology, marine, environmental engineering, and numerical modeling. Moreover, it utilizes its extensive project implementation experience to provide optimal service considering the project characteristics and evaluation period.
The environmental assessment system was introduced in 1982, and KEPCO E&C's experts conducted environmental assessments of hydro/thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, transmission lines, wind power generation, and other industrial facilities. Specifically, we provide distinctive services through environmental impact surveys and analysis using specialized technologies such as a site development feasibility study, air quality impact assessment using 3D numerical models, warm drainage diffusion analysis using 3D numerical models, and 3D landscape simulation.

Strategic environmental impact assessment

The strategic environmental impact assessment is he evaluation of environmental aspects in the early stages of various action plans or development projects, in accordance with the Framework Act on Environmental Policy.
KEPCO E&C provides technical services that foster harmony between development and conservation while promoting sustainable development. These services meticulously address environmental impacts, encompassing factors like location feasibility and synergy with the surrounding environment.

Post-environmental impact survey

The post-environmental impact survey is a follow-up measure of the environmental impact assessment. It assesses the environmental impact of project implementation and proposes the necessary measures to fulfill the environmental impact assessment agreement, aligning with the client's requirements. Moreover, we accurately identify customer difficulties related to environmental management at business sites during the post-environmental impact survey period, then provide solutions to the problems, which mitigates potential customer disadvantages resulting from non-compliance with the agreed terms.
