LNG combined cycle power plant
Combined cycle power generation is a method to improve thermal efficiency. In keeping with the cycle of gas turbine or steam turbine, high-temperature gas of more than 600℃ discharged after the operation of the gas turbine passes through a heat recovery steam generator to generate steam. Subsequently, the steam flows into a steam turbine to generate additional electricity.
As a primary contractor, KEPCO E&C has constructed more than 60 cogeneration and combined cycle power plants. In addition, we have performed feasibility studies and design & engineering services for the construction of combined cycle power plants at home and abroad, along with multiple design services for combined cycle power plants overseas, including Benghazi/Misurata in Libya and S2 and S3 in UAE. We also carried out domestic EPC projects for Osan Cogeneration and Hanju Combined Heat & Power Plant, as well as overseas EPC projects for Takoradi T1, T2 in Ghana and CIPREL IV in Côte d'Ivoire.
KEPCO E&C has the know-how in optimal design, process, and project management techniques for cogeneration and combined cycle power plants, as well as the management capability to significantly shorten the construction period.
