Chamsarang Voluntary Corps
KEPCO E&C formed the Chamsarang Volunteer Corps in August 2005, under the slogan “Bringing Technology to Customers, and Sharing Love with Neighbors” in order to contribute to local communities and fulfill its social responsibility as a public institution.
The Chamsarang Volunteer Corps consists of six volunteer groups at each division, and has continually provided regular financial support and volunteer work through sisterhood relationships with various organizations, such as welfare centers for the disabled, nursing homes, and children's facilities. The Chamsarang Volunteer Corps’ operating fund is raised through a matching grant. The matching grant program entails employees voluntarily contributing a portion of their monthly salary, with the company matching twice the amount raised by each employee. The funds raised are used for social contribution projects, such as emergency disaster relief, support for the vulnerable, and nurturing future talent.
KEPCO E&C employees voluntarily share their talents to improve children’s rights. Since its founding in 2016, the Group has recruited volunteers annually and carried out its activities. The Talent Sharing Volunteer Corps has cooperated with the Gimcheon City Dream Start Children and Mentor-Mentee Program, supporting experiential activities to bridge the gap in care for vulnerable children. Through emotional connection and communication, the program aims to nurture children's emotions, develop their hopes and dreams, and foster their growth.
The members of the volunteer group, where employees and their families participate, visit the welfare facilities after work or on weekends and play a leading role in creating a culture of sharing.
