Awarded 'Prime Minister’s Citation of Outstanding Family-Friendly Company'

- KEPCO E&C provides family-friendly workplace by expanding maternal protection system and family-friendly programs -
KEPCO E&C has won the "Prime Minister's Citation" for outstanding family-friendly company in recognition of its efforts to balance work and life of employees.
The Family-Friendly Certification, administered by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, grants certificate to companies and institutions operating a family-friendly system to balance work and family life of employees. KEPCO E&C, which received the first certification in 2012, got certified again this year, and won the additional honor of receiving the Prime Minister's Citation.
KEPCO E&C’s latest honor was especially attributed to its efforts to ‘ensure work family compatibility and make a happy workplace.’ The Prime Minister’s Citation especially recognized the company’s efforts to improve the quality of life of employees and enhance the company's productivity by creating a trend-setting working environment including reducing working hours for pregnant employees, expanding parental leave, allowing use by the hour of the annual leave, and offering special COVID-19-related leave for taking care of family and children.
Besides, KEPCO E&C runs a variety of family-friendly programs, including EAP worker support program, operation of two workplace daycare centers and open library, and opening of its welfare facilities to the public. It is also trying hard to foster family-friendly culture by designating the Family Love Day, providing self-development leave and operating flexible working hours.
On the occasion of receiving the Prime Minister’s Citation, President & CEO Lee Bae-soo expressed his hope, saying, "KEPCO E&C will set an example as a public institution that leads the work-life balance by continuing to spread family-friendly corporate culture."
