The sports event was participated in by about 700 children and teenagers from more than ten regions of Ghana, but also west African countries.

In his congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony, Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga expressed his hope that the children and teenagers would be able to build strong minds and bodies by practicing taekwondo and grow as the country’s future leaders.

The organizers of the sporting event invited umpires from Côte d'Ivoire and invited children in foreign countries like Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, the United States, and the United Kingdom to join the merrymaking atmosphere.

Local residents’ heightened interest in taekwondo was felt at the sporting event, which provided an opportunity to promote friendship between South Korea and Ghana.

KEPCO E&C plans to engage in a variety of activites designed to enhance the image of the home country in foreign countries in its capacity as a public corporation.
