On November 13, KEPCO E&C signed an MOU with the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) to secure internationally recognized quality and export support for small but strong enterprises in the domestic power industry.

The signing ceremony, held at KTL’s Gyeonggi Branch in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, was attended by Lee Bae-soo, CEO of KEPCO E&C, Jung Dong-hee, President of KTL, and officials from each company to pledge to cooperate closely for global shared growth between small but strong enterprises and public companies in the energy and power generation technology industry.

KTL is Korea’s only comprehensive public testing and certification body. By signing the MOU, KEPCO E&C with expertise in the comprehensive design of nuclear power plants and the KTL specialized in testing of nuclear power equipment and parts plan to support SMEs in the power industry to secure international standard quality and strengthen technological competitiveness by identifying joint R&D programs, exchanging professionals, and jointly utilizing technical information, facilities, and equipment.

“We look forward to this MOU as an opportunity to lead the practical improvement of technology in the power generation technology industry through close cooperation between the two organizations. KEPCO E&C plant to take the lead in the globalization of SMEs in Korea by faithfully fulfilling our role as the partner for small but technically strong enterprises to enter the global markets,” KEPCO E&C’s CEO Lee Bae-soo said.
