
KEPCO E&C opened its liaison office in France to more closely support ITER(Internationl Thermonuclear Experiemental Reactor) project.
On June 6th, KEPCO E&C held an opening ceremony for “ITER liaison office” in Aix-en-Provence, France. Around 20 distinguished figures and staff members including President Koo-woun Park, ITER Director-General Osamu Motojima, ITER Korea Project Director Ki-jung Jung, Mininster of Paris Embassy Woong-soon Lim, and Vice Governor of Aix-en-Provence Pierre Castoldi attended the ceremony.
ITER Project is the largest international joint research project participated by 7 countries including Korea, the U.S., Russia and EU aimed at harnessing nuclear fusion energy. Our company has solidified its position in ITER especailly in engineering part by winning 50 billion won project since 2008.
Opening the liaison office, KEPCO E&C aims to more closely support ITER project on the site, increase participation in the porject and encourage its entrance into European power plant market by establishing a foothold in France.
