KOPEC held a ‘Workshop to Determine KOPEC’s Future Vision’ on June 19~20 in the Future Leadership Center located in Baegam-myeon, Yongin-si.

More than 50 executives and employees participated in the workshop and discussed the latest changes in managerial environment, including the ongoing global economic slump and the renaissance of atomic power. Notably, an in-depth review of the current management strategies was conducted as a means of preparation for the anticipated dramatic change in the industrial plant and engineering market. They also exchanged opinions on the establishment of specific mid- and long-term managerial targets by setting up goals of the sales and operating income by 2020.

All the top members of management, including President An Seung-kyoo, participated in the workshop, and in-depth discussions were held in order to reset the company’s future business portfolio and present its new vision on the basis of a cool examination and analysis of the managerial environment led by the management. President An emphasized the need to reinforce the company’s marketing activities and develop overseas markets, with a view to increasing sales and transforming KOPEC into a global company. He also declared that executives and employees must be united in order to achieve the future vision of our company.

In addition, a special lecture was delivered by Mr. Heo Young-ho, a climber and explorer, under the theme of ‘Challenge and Overcoming’, with the focus on securing future growth engines by wisely overcoming the current situation and reinforcing technological capabilities on the principle that the current crisis constitutes an opportune moment to make a new jump forward. We believe that Mr. Heo’s lecture helped to motivate the executives and employees who participated in the workshop, boosting their self-confidence.
