KEPCO E&C has started relocating its offices to Gimcheon Innovation City, the home of its new head office, in North Gyeongsang Province .

KEPCO E&C will move into the new head office unit by unit in phases between July 2 and August 14, starting with the Management Planning Department, Auditing Department, Employee Stock Ownership Cooperative , and ICT Department. The relocation of the KEPCO E&C head office will involve the transfer of about 2,000 employees in 37 departments, making it the largest move of manpower among the state-run companies that are moving to provincial regions from the Seoul metropolitan area. The volume of equipment including office furniture that will be transported amounts to 20,000m³, which is equivalent to over 1,000 five-ton removal van loads.

In CEO’s message, President & CEO Koo-woun Park said, “Let’s successfully complete the move and embrace the promising Gimcheon era by implementing our thoroughly prepared plans in a calm manner”.

By successfully completing the move, KEPCO E&C plans to spearhead balanced regional development of the country and co-prosperity among local regions, and thereby ensure that all of its executives and staff join forces to help KEPCO E&C continue growing into a leading global enterprise.

Earlier on June 23, KEPCO E&C held a traditional Korean ceremony to express gratitude upon leaving the Yongin head office building in Gyeonggi Province, which has been used by staff since 1995. At the event, President Park and other executives and staff celebrated the fact that KEPCO E&C has taken a new leap forward to become a world-class company at the Yongin head office, and expressed their appreciation for the local community in Yongin, which has given its unwavering support and cooperation over the past twenty years.
