KEPCO E&C’s new office building in Gimcheon Innovation City has now been completed.

 

KEPCO E&C, which started the project to construct a new office building at Gimcheon Innovation City on October 15, 2012, received approval for use of the building from Gimcheon City on May 28 after construction work that  lasted for about 32 months, and inaugurated the new office on May 31.

 

KEPCO E&C’s Gimcheon building is a 28-story structure with two underground levels, boasting 145,864.24m² of floor space on a 120,919.3m² site. The building has already become a landmark of Gimcheon Innovation City.

 

The building is designed to maximize work efficiency by introducing a state-of-the-art security system and eco-friendly technology. To reflect KEPCO E&C’s characteristics as an engineering company, the building features the systematic and efficient layout of space, taking into consideration the need for interaction between different technology areas. The building’s auxiliary facilities include a dormitory for more than 200 people and a separate daycare center.

 

President & CEO Koo-Woun Park of KEPCO E&C said, “The completion of the new office building is truly a new starting point for KEPCO E&C, marking the transition to the new Gimcheon era,” adding, “At this new office, all our executives and staff members will make determined efforts to take a new leap forward to become a Global Power EPC company.”

 

KEPCO E&C will move to the new office building in phases from July 1 to mid-August, and make all-out efforts to become a leading global company that emphasizes the values of the local community.
