KEPCO E&C President & CEO Kim Sung-Arm won the Global Excellence Award in Quality Management in the public sector at the 2023 Spring Conference co-hosted by the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM) and the Defense Agency of Technology and Quality (DTaQ) held at the Korean Federation of Science & Technology Societies (KOFST) on April 28, 2023.
The Global Excellence Award in Quality Management is an award provided to business leaders who have made a meaningful contribution to the industrial development and quality management, and faithfully carried out the role of corporate social responsibility.
President & CEO Kim has demonstrated enthusiastic leadership and helped earn the Standard Design Certificate for APR1000, a nuclear power plant to be exported to Europe, from European Utility Requirements (EUR). He was also highly recognized for achieving outstanding design quality by adopting an innovative quality management system, for example, by renewing KEPCO E&C’s ASME N-Certificate.
In his acceptance speech, he said, “I proudly accept this honor as a show of encouragement for KEPCO E&C to advance further and improve our public safety measures and quality of services. We promise to fulfill our commitment to achieve new heights by successfully closing more overseas nuclear power plant deals that we are currently working on and enhancing the safety of the energy sector in South Korea.”
