On April 5, KEPCO E&C delivered 30 million won in disaster relief funds to the Gyeongbuk Branch of Community Chest of Korea for recovery from forest fire damage on the east coast and support for victims.

The delivery ceremony was attended by Ham Ki-hwang, head of the Management & Administration Division, Ha Jin-Su, chairman of the labor union, and Jeong Dong-Eui, the secretary-general of the Gyeongbuk Branch of Community Chest of Korea.

Earlier on March 8, right after the forest fire, KEPCO E&C donated 25 million won to the joint fundraising campaign by KEPCO Group affiliates and launched a campaign to raise relief funds in which more than 1,300 employees participated in the donation event for seven days.

The relief fund campaign was organized as a matching fund. KEPCO E&C matched the funds donated by its employees, and the KEPCO E&C’s subsidiary, KEPCO ENC Service, also actively participated in the campaign. It is significant that the management, labor, and vendors have united to help victims recover from calamity.

The relief funds donated to Gyeongbuk Community Chest will be used for restoration of properties and recovery from damages, such as stabilizing the livelihood of affected residents in the Uljin area, where KEPCO E&C has a field office.

KEPCO E&C plans to continue its social contribution activities in a show of compassion for the hardships of community members, particularly with the resurgence of COVID-19 outbreaks, while embodying the values of sharing and harmony.
