KEPCO E&C held a workshop on July 23 and August 5 with the Belgian company Tractebel on cooperation in nuclear and renewable energy technologies.

The workshop, which was conducted via video due to the spread of COVID-19, was attended by executives and working-level officials from both companies, including Chun Sung-hwan, Director of NSSS Business Dept.; Bernard Dreeper, Director of Business Development-Nuclear; Kim Il-bae, Director of Energy Business Development Dept.; and Kim Demeyer, Director of Thermal and Renewable Products.

An event following up to the MOU signed with Tractebel in Brussels on December 11, 2019 the workshop had two sessions -- nuclear and renewable energy fields.

The subjects of discussions included each company’s role and ways of technological cooperation in LTEA, nuclear power plants operated overseas, dismantling and decommissioning nuclear power plants, and marine wind power and hydrogen energy.

KEPCO E&C expects to create synergy between the two companies through the workshop on technology cooperation, and plans to maintain practical business and technology cooperation by holding regular workshops.
