The inauguration ceremony of An, Seung-kyoo, the new president of KOPEC, was held at 3 p.m. on May 25 (Mon.) in the auditorium of the head office with the participation of all the organization’s executives and employees.

In an extraordinary general shareholders’ meeting convened for the morning of May 25, An, Seung-kyoo, the vice-president of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, was appointed as the new president of the company after being recommended by the Committee for the Recommendation of the President through public subion.

In his inauguration speech, President Ahn said, “I will do my utmost to position KOPEC as the best professional technology company in the world.” President Ahn was born in 1949. After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Korea University, he entered Hyundai E&C in 1973 and served as the vice-president of the industrial plant division and as the vice-chairman of Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd.
