KOPEC Increases the Number of Study Groups by 12 to 60

KOPEC is increasing the number of study groups it first began operating in 2000 by 12 to 60. The study groups are being used to facilitate the systematic accumulation of experiences and materials, the sharing of knowledge among employees, and the convenient use of reference technologies.

Among the additional study groups are ones specializing in renewable energy, boilers, computerization of the 3D design of plants, technology for the design of onsite/analysis meters at hydraulic/thermal power plants, structural design of vibration devices, deep-soil water intake/drainage, design of high smokestacks, causes of malfunction in digital systems, improvement of the design technology for control rod/control systems, web applications, corporate culture, and electronic records management.

It is expected that the study groups will make a conspicuous contribution to the knowledge-based management of KOPEC through the accumulation and sharing of expertise concerning the design of various elements of power plants and the establishment of long-term strategies for their operation.
