On March 30 (Sun.), KOPEC held a reward ceremony for Excellent Technology Development Projects and Excellent Knowledge-based Activities, attended by the management and staff, in the board meeting room on the 5th floor.

Six Excellent Technology Development Projects, three excellent specialists, and two excellent study groups were selected and rewarded by our Technology Council, for their excellent performance in the fields of technology development and knowledge-based management in 2008.
Jeon Chang-been, manager of the Plant Design Department and responsible for the project of “Development of Piping Vibration Monitoring System” won the best technology development prize; Moon Il-hwan, a Specialist in Special Structure and manager of the Civil & Architectural Engineering Department (Nuclear Project & Engineering Division), won the best specialist award; and the Piping Material Technology Study Group won the best study group award.

In the free discussion held after the ceremony, the management showed its appreciation of the prize winners for their contribution to improvement of KOPEC’s technical power and operational efficiency based on their superior knowledge-based performance. The management appealed to the awardees to continue their solid contribution to KOPEC’s take-off as a top global technology company.
