On December 19, at the ‘17th 2022 Korea Social Contribution Awards’ held in the National Assembly Proceeding Hall, KEPCO E&C was awarded the “Commendation from Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs” in the social contribution category in recognition of its track record of various social contribution activities for ESG management and regional development.

The Korea Social Contribution Awards celebrates companies that contribute to social development and the spread of a sharing culture in various fields, such as job creation, social contribution, social service, and regional development, by recognizing the companies and public corporations pursuing social contribution activities.

After relocating to the province, KEPCO E&C has promoted various social contribution activities for revitalizing regional economies, eliminating social welfare blind spots, and partnering with regional specialized industries.

Notably, based on the agreements entered with the Large, Small and Medium-sized Business Agriculture, and Fisheries Cooperation Foundation and Gyeongsangbuk-do, the energy welfare project for improving the electrical facilities for rundown farmhouses using industry technological capabilities is continuously promoted every year.

In 2022, as a top-tier participating public institution of the Gyeongbuk Regional Problem-Solving Platform, it implemented a new emergency generator inspection project for medical institutions to bolster the local medical system.

In addition, KEPCO E&C continues to pursue various social contribution projects for growth engines and regional win-win development of local communities, including small and medium-sized business energy efficiency and small business support projects to revitalize local economies.

It will continue to make ceaseless efforts to lead ESG management by fulfilling our social responsibilities as a public corporation and practicing the value of true win-win cooperation and sharing.
