KEPCO E&C was selected as an Enterprise with Excellent Labor-Management Culture in 2021 by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Launched in 1996, the Certification for Enterprise with Excellent Labor-Management Culture is a scheme that selects and certifies enterprises practicing exemplary cooperative and collaborative labor-management relations.

A total of 106 workplaces applied for the certification this year, and 37 enterprises were selected through the first document review and the second contest in six areas, including open management and labor participation, wage adequacy and gap bridging efforts, and improvement of labor welfare and working environment. The selected enterprises receive a three-year exemption from regular labor supervision and preferential treatment when selecting exemplary taxpayers.

KEPCO E&C has maintained stable labor-management relations for 16 years, based on communication between labor and management and open corporate culture since the establishment of the labor union in 1987.

It supports work-family balance through various flexible working systems, including the PC-Off system and childcare hours, and enhances employee satisfaction based on a welfare system customized to workers. Moreover, the company established a subsidiary, KEPCO ENC Service Company (KESCO), to convert contractual workers into regular employees and fulfill its social responsibilities such as industry-university cooperation and collaborative cooperation with local communities using its specialized technologies.

“KEPCO E&C’s selection as Enterprise with Excellent Labor-Management Culture is the result of labor and management working together based on open management. We are committed to becoming a company that creates good working environments and fulfills its social responsibilities through cooperative labor-management relations,” said KEPCO E&C CEO Kim Sung-arm.
