KEPCO E&C signed a contract on the "Feasibility Study Service on Sual coal-fired thermal power plant" with Trans Asia Oil & Energy Development Corporation (Trans-Asia) in the Philippines on April 9.

The  contract requires a feasibility study on the coal-fired thermal power plant with capacity of 600MW ~ 1000MW to be constructed in Sual City, Pangasinan Province in the Philippines.

KEPCO E&C is expected to perform tasks such as survey of location conditions, survey of power supply, demand, and outlook, conceptual design, selection of construction site, analysis of economic feasibility, etc., for the next 6 months.

KEPCO E&C established a foothold for expanding the local development project in the Philippines and also increased its chances of winning an order in the region by bagging the Sual power plant project following the feasibility study on the coal-fired thermal power plant in Naga in 2015.

KEPCO E&C plans to strengthen its overseas project development activities by accelerating its efforts to win more new power plant construction projects in Southeast Asia including the Philippines through the successful completion of this project.
