A welcoming event was held to mark the KEPCO E&C’s moving in to the new office building in Gimcheon Innovation City on August 20. Attending the event were more than 200 people including Mayor Bo-saeng Park, officials from Gimcheon City and residents.

In a gesture of warm welcome, Gimcheon citizens presented plums and grapes, which are the specialties of the region, to KEPCO E&C staff.

Also featured at the event was Gimcheon’s Bitnae nongak (traditional Korean farmers’ music) performance, which was held to deliver a message of encouragement to the KEPCO E&C’s executives and staff who became new neighbors in the city.

KEPCO E&C President & CEO Koo Woun Park said “KEPCO E&C will seek mutual prosperity and cooperation based on a sense of responsibility not only to conduct research and development in the region and realize industrial innovation but also to create and prosper a culture. We will create a new model of challenge and growth in collaboration with Gimcheon citizens and residents of North Gyeongsang Province,”.

KEPCO E&C successfully completed the relocation of 2,300 executives and staff from July 1 to August 13 and opened the Gimcheon era in earnest.
