This consulting contract is to add functionality into EPRI’s MAAP code to enable modeling of the Passive Emergency Core Cooling System (PECCS) for the commercial nuclear power plant. This system is intended to allow for passive emergency core cooling using the injection from the Hybrid Safety Injection Tanks (H-SITs), Safety Injection Tanks (SITs), and In-containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) into Reactor Coolant System (RCS) by gravity force. The following tasks will be performed by this consultation. 1. Development of Interim versions of MAAP5 for the purposes of developing the PECCS model 2. MAAP5 Beta Version (including PECCS Models) Development, Testing, and Release 3. MAAP5 Final Version (including PECCS Models) Development, Testing, and Release |

| Reason(s) for the Sole Sourcing | It is necessary for the contractor to have experiences on severe accident model using MAAP code as well as the highly qualified and experienced engineers who can provide establishment of MAAP code and analysis results.
