LNG combined cycle power plant

Combined cycle thermal power generation is a method to improve thermal efficiency. High-temperature gas of at least 600℃ is discharged from a gas turbine after the control of the gas turbine or steam turbine cycle passes through a heat recovery steam generator to generate steam and flows into a steam turbine to generate additional electricity.

KEPCO E&C has constructed more than 60 combined cycle thermal power plants as the lead contractor for the comprehensive design. Moreover, we have performed feasibility studies and provided design technical services for the construction of combined cycle thermal power plants at home and abroad, along with design services for overseas combined cycle thermal power plants, including Benghazi/Misurata in Libya and S2 and S3 in UAE. We have also carried out domestic-based EPC projects for the Osan Cogeneration and Hanju Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plant, as well as Takoradi T1 and T2 in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.
