On July 5 KEPCO E&C held a signing ceremony for an MOU for strategic cooperation with KOMIPO on the co-development of overseas new and renewable energy, with representatives from the contracting parties including president Park Koo-woun and president Chung Chang-kil from KOMIPO in attendance.

The purpose of the MOU is to produce a new overseas business model by converging KEPCO E&C’s potential in renewable energy engineering and KOMIPO’s ability to operate power plant and oversea projects.

According to the agreement, both companies will exchange technology and business information on foreign renewable energy and carry forward joint business projects and strategic quota participation.

We also aim to maximize the synergy effect on foreign markets by sharing our know-how and networks on foreign businesses.

President Park Koo-woun said, “KEPCO E&C’s technology and experience in energy plant engineering will prove to be effective in foreign renewable energy markets as well. We will turn this agreement into an opportunity to produce a new growth engine overseas.”

President Chung Chang-kil said, “The combination of KEPCO E&C’s engineering potential in renewable energy and KOMIPO’s know-how in foreign IPPs is needed.

Both companies have seized this opportunity to advance more actively and dynamically into the overseas renewable energy market.”
