KOPEC signed a package contract on July 3 with LINGDON NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION (LDNPC) for the ‘Main Control Room Environment Design Contract of LingAo Phase II NPP ’.

 KOPEC has successfully convinced LDNPC that the main control room of its two (2) new units of LingAo Phase II NPP needs an ergonomic design in order to create a more pleasant working environment than existing LingAo Phase I NPP, and was awarded an environmental engineering contract to design the colors, lighting and interiors of the LingAo Phase II Main Control Room.

 According to the Contract, KOPEC will perform the Services at its headquarters by utilizing its employees while dispatch I&C experts to upon LDNPC’s request in order to provide technical consultation by December 2008.

 With this contract in hand, KOPEC will have a more advantageous position in winning new package contracts related to designing main control rooms in China, which plans to build 30 more nuclear power plants in the future.

 KOPEC has recently sent a number of business management experts and I&C (Instrumentation & Control) DCS engineers to the LingAo Phase II NPP construction site to provide technical consulting services.
