The development of specifications and procedure for unbonded single-strand tendons shall be based on the ASME Code. For this work, it should be selected as the consultant that have sufficient experience for the ASME Code and post-tensioning system design. Sargent & Lundy (S&L) has extensive experience in containment post-tensioning system including design, material, fabrication, testing and in-service inspection. In addition, S&L has actively participated in the development of the ASME Code since the first issue of the Code for trial use in 1974. S&L has two(2) active members on the joint ACI-ASME Committee for concrete containments, responsible for updating and maintaining the ASME Code. S&L is also knowledgeable in the development of federal regulations for nuclear power plants and has been involved in the development of in-service inspection requirements for the post-tensioning system. Therefore, S&L could be the most qualified partner with KEPCO E&C offering consultation services for the subject of this contract. |
