KEPCO E&C received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups in the category of collaborative cooperation between large and small businesses at the 2021 Shared Growth Awards Ceremony held at the head office of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises on November 3.

Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership and Foundation for Cooperation of Large and Small Enterprises and Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation, the commemorative event is held every year to promote shared growth between large enterprises and SMEs and promote public understanding of and interest in shared growth.

As a state-owned energy company, KEPCO E&C received the Ministerial Citation in recognition of its programs for shared growth projects to revitalize SMEs as well as the local economy for many years.

In particular, KEPCO E&C supported SMEs in strengthening industrial competitiveness and expanding overseas sales channels through R&D cooperation projects and joint expansion of overseas markets. The company has continued collaborative cooperation programs, such as industry-linked energy efficiency support programs, performance-sharing systems, and cooperative profit-sharing systems for its partners. Moreover, KEPCO E&C is carrying out activities such as installing solar power generation facilities in local villages and improving the electrical equipment of underdeveloped farms to revitalize communities having difficulties due to COVID-19 by increasing the income of local residents and spreading a safety culture.

KEPCO E&C plans to continue its activities to spread the culture of shared growth by contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of local SMEs and regional development through practical and leading shared growth projects with SMEs and communities.
