- Sustained cooperation for the anti-corruption ecosystem to cope with COVID-19 in Gyeongbuk Innovative City -



KEPCO E&C held the Joint Integrity Citizen Auditors’ Meeting for Public Institutions with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and Korea Construction Management Corporation on July 14th. Its purpose was to encourage public institutions to continue to increase in the transparency of public administration and the spread of integrity culture by maintaining the anti-corruption and integrity ecosystem in Innovative City under the COVID-19 situation.

The integrity citizen auditors and anti-corruption/integrity and ethics officers of each institution attended the meeting organized by KEPCO E&C. They shared the best practices of implementing the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act and the best practices of non-face-to-face integrity activities carried out under the COVID-19 situation.

At the event, the citizen auditors from each institution demanded the sustained enterprise-wide anti-corruption and integrity activities even in the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to practice ethical management by all employees through discussion and suggestions. The attendees resolved to continue to cooperate to construct the integrity ecosystem in Gyeongbuk Innovative City through integrity activities to respond to contactless situations in the second half also.

“The meeting today is a good opportunity to relay and spread best practices through the cooperation and linkage between public institutions, and it is necessary more than ever to make efforts to spread integrity through more detailed strategies of public institutions and implement the integrity for the public interest by the public institutions in the current situation of economic crisis and uncertainties caused COVID-19,” said Oh In-seung, the Innovative Growth Director, who sponsored the event.
