CEO Bae-soo Lee Participating in the Hope Campaign Relay

On May 11, KEPCO E&C’s CEO Bae-soo Lee participated in the Hope Campaign Relay of Public Institutions to Overcome the COVID-19 crisis by taking the baton from CEO Byung-sook Kim of KOWEPO.

The Hope Campaign Relay of Public Institutions to Overcome the COVID-19 is a handwriting campaign to encourage the efforts of the field medical staff, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), and Reviving the Economy program officials who are in the front line of fighting COVID-19. It began with Byung-seon Jeong, the Deputy Minister of Science and ICT (MSIT), and relayed mostly through heads of public institutions.

Those who participate in the campaign handwrites the statement related to overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and reviving the local economy, post it on SNS and then recommend three persons to participate in the followed relay.
Lee posted the relay message “Power to Korea! Power to Daegu and Gyeongbuk! Let’s revive the local economy!” for the Hope Campaign in KEPCO E&C’s website and others. He said that he participated in the relay to contribute small but significant energy to the field medical staff, the KCDC, Reviving the Economy program officials, and the people in Korea.

KECO E&C is carrying out a project to support 15 local SMEs and venture enterprises in Gimcheon to implement the energy efficiency system and energy solution as part of the effort to promote the local economy.

Its employees are doing their best to overcome the COVID-19 crisis early and promote the local economy by expanding the sisterhood agreement with traditional markets in Gimcheon and near its field offices and installing a 100 kW solar power generation system near Pyeonghwa Market in Gimcheon through the local council.
