KEPCO E&C held a ceremony at Taeyang Engineering Co. in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on 29 January to unveil a signboard on the “Ethics and Human Rights Charter.”

The event was part of KEPCO E&C’s efforts to encourage its partner companies to write a charter on ethics and human rights. The program is aimed to support government endeavors to enhance ethics and human rights standard and to develop sustainable partnership with partner firms.

Supporting the making of signboards carrying ethics and human rights charter written by partner firms is one symbol of such efforts to ensure management with high ethics and human rights standard.

Five partner firms have benefited from the campaign which started in late 2019. The latest event, which followed a similar event held at Samy Industrial Co. on 10 January, was organized in a way for KEPCO E&C and Taeyang Engineering to renew their determination to run the companies with high ethical and human rights standard.

Mr. Oh In-seung, head of the Innovation Growth Department, said, “Ethics and human rights have become a very important factor for ensuring sustainable development of companies. What we provide may be little, but we hope it will lay the foundation for management that attaches importance to ethics and human rights at our partner companies.”

KEPCO E&C will continue to provide free signboard on ethics and human rights charter to any partner firms that request it.
