KEPCO E&C signed the agreement for technical personnel interchange with ITER Construction Management as Agent (CMA) in France on September 23.

Officials from both companies, including Jin Tae-eun, the Executive Vice President of KEPCO E&C, and Hubert Labourdette, CEO of Momentum, attended the signing ceremony.

KEPCO E&C plans to up to five junior engineers annually to ITER construction sites for two years each till 2026.

The purpose of the agreement is to train junior engineers to help them grow into the next-generation leaders to secure future growth engines as part of KEPCO E&C’s mid- to long-term business strategy.

KEPCO E&C expects that dispatching engineers in various technical areas to the large ITER project, in which they can experience a diversity of cultures, would be a valuable opportunity for the specific development of professionals with global sense and construction management experience.

Moreover, KEPCO E&C plans to use the signing of the agreement as the stepping stone for the company to train future leaders for innovative growth in a global leader and to actively participate in new energy industries such as ITER in preparation of the energy conversion period.
