Held the Conference for Integrity Win-Win Practice with vendors

- Resolution to eliminate heavy-handed practice and pledge for human rights management and integrity win-win -

KEPCO E&C held the Conference for Integrity Win-Win Practice with the vendors under the motto “KEPCO E&C for collaborative cooperation and fulfillment of social responsibilities with vendors” at Post Tower in Myeong-dong, Seoul on March 8.

The Conference for Integrity Win-Win Practice was held to spread and share the issues related to the elimination of heavy-handed practice, the human rights management, the integrity and ethics, and the information security and to pledge joint practice. It was participated by KEPCO E&C executives and more than 130 representatives from 84 vendors.

The event focused on the resolution to eliminate heavy-handed practices and included the programs for the guidance on reporting heavy-handed practices, the education on prevention of heavy-handed practice, the collective resolution for integrity, human rights, and elimination of heavy-handed practice, and the overview of the enhanced contracting scheme. They were followed by the special lecture on anti-corruption and integrity, report of anti-corruption investigation, education on awareness of technology and information security, and checkpoints for security audits.

“KEPCO E&C was selected as the most outstanding agency for anti-corruption policy assessment of public institutions in 2018, and we plan to accelerate the elimination of heavy-handed practices to vendors and dissemination of anti-corruption and integrity culture,” Lee Dong-geun, Executive Auditor of KEPCO E&C said in his special lecture.

“We will continue to seek the ways to share the growth with our partner companies through the technology development and business diversification as the public institution in energy technology,” Um Ho-seop, the Executive Vice President which hosted the event, said.

KEPCO E&C plans to disseminate the culture of mutual respect and consideration to prevent corruption and to seek mutual growth with vendors.
