The “Joint Conference of Citizen Auditor/Ombudsman for Integrity” was held on June 14 at KEPCO E&C in Gimcheon Innovation City, Gyeongsangbuk-do with four public institutions (KEPCO E&C, Korea Highway Corporation, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and Korea Construction Management Corporation).

KEPCO E&C initiated the Citizen Auditor/Ombudsman for the integrity program in 2015 to contract outside experts in eradicating corruption and monitoring and assessing vulnerable areas.

The joint conference was divided into the individual meeting with each agency and the joint meeting of all agencies. The joint meeting featured sessions on understanding the anti-bribery management system, ISO37001, presentation of outstanding cases of improved integrity and anti-corruption, and overall comment by the citizen auditor for integrity.

The four agencies plan to continue joint efforts to improve the effectiveness of integrity/ethics auditing work through collaborations and interchanges and to disperse the anti-corruption and integrity culture by reflecting the opinions of the citizen auditor.
