KEPCO E&C received the ISO 37001 certification for its anti-bribery management system on October 27.

ISO 37001 is the international standard for anti- bribery management systems enacted in October of last year by the ISO, a non-governmental international organization with a membership of 162 national standards bodies. Since its adoption in Korea in April 2017, many companies have been implementing the system in order to acquire certification and recognition for their establishment of transparent and ethical management.

KEPCO E&C established the basic plan in April this year and formed the task force team to implement it, and has since provided its employees with the relevant training and eduation. KEPCO E&C was awarded the ISO 37001 certificate after undergoing a two-phase certification evaluation in September and October.
 
KEPCO E&C passed a rigorous evaluation of its commitment to and leadership of anti-bribery activities, corruption risk diagnosis and assessment, and risk monitoring, and its continuous efforts to improve its anti-bribery management system. The international certification for the anti-bribery management system is recognition of KEPCO E&C’s efforts to improve the system and establish a culture of integrity.

It is particularly meaningful in that a public institution with leadership in energy technology - such as power plant engineering where safety is crucial ? has been certified for its international anti-bribery management system.

Based on the ISO 37001 certification, KEPCO E&C plans to make every effort to implement follow-up measures and establish a company-wide culture of integrity and ethics.
