On December 27, KEPCO E&C completed construction and began operations of a cyber security operating center at the company headquarters.

The cyber security operations center has video monitoring equipment that can monitor and send situational awareness alerts during situations involving security threats and technical document leaks.

Additionally, KEPCO E&C has deployed security control experts in order to strengthen the ability to respond in situations where internal documents have been leaked. Ensuring the security of internal documents had been a difficult task. Also, the infrastructure for security duties was set up, such as the security operating center, the conference room, and the communications center.

In January 2016, the government announced that design-related information systems would be considered "Critical Information Infrastructure". Since then KEPCO E&C has established protective measures in accordance with the Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Act and is making absolutely sure that security is not compromised.

Cyber hacking damages are increasing at a steady rate. Therefore, at the same time, KEPCO E&C will continue to work on strengthening security so that leaks of technology-related documents do not occur.
