KEPCO E&C conducted education on nuclear energy safety culture and health safety environment (HSE) last July 21 - September 6.

The training was conducted 4 times at the Wolsong, Gori/Shingori, Hanbit, and Hanul/Shinhanul sites for all employees working in the plants, including those from partner companies. It sought to improve awareness of the nuclear energy safety culture and to prevent disasters and health disabilities that may occur on site.

The training consisted of explanations on nuclear energy safety standards, cases of safety culture, system for reporting inappropriate cases according to the Nuclear Safety Act, and corporate amendment program (CAP).

Moreover, the on-site health safety environment training sought to develop the practical first aid capabilities of the employees by practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation using mannequin and through the use of automated defibrillator.

This training is expected to enhance awareness of safety among employees working on site and to acquire capacities for preventing and handling accidents.
