KEPCO E&C participated in the ‘KEPCO R&D Outcome Presentation’ hosted by KEPCO’s Technology & Engineering Division and KEPCO Research Institute on April 9.

The event was held under the theme of ‘Creating the Future All Together’ to share last year’s key R&D outcomes and recognize employees who showed outstanding performance. Participated in by the CEOs and research professionals of nine affiliates of KEPCO Group, the event was centered on an exhibition of outstanding R&D outcomes, the global business plan for 2012, and the technology development achievements of the group affiliates. 

At its booth, KEPCO E&C presented three R&D outcomes selected as outstanding technology development programs in 2011. Jae-geun Seok, director of the Technology Strategy Division, received the KEPCO President Award for his contribution to the advancement of R&D.

The event also focused on such outcomes as the development and demonstration of a micro grid plant; the provision of technical support in Korea and overseas; the commercialization of a high-pressure/high-temperature section boiler damage monitoring system; the operation of a superconducting cable/fault current limiter; and the development of a real-time peak reduction monitoring system for power supply stabilization.

KEPCO E&C expects the event will lay the foundations for Korea’s power industry to leap to the world’s best level.
