KEPCO E&C joined as a regular member of World Nuclear Association (WNA) on January 28, 2011. Headquartered in London, UK, WNA is an international civil organization in which 180 agencies in 40 countries participate in to support the nuclear industry worldwide. Most leading nuclear reactor suppliers like AECL, AREVA, MHI, Toshiba, Westinghouse, and GE-Hitachi are members. From Korea, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company, and the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety are members.

The WNA operates these international forums and working groups as a means to represent the interests of the nuclear industry. Some of these interests include power companies, nuclear reactor suppliers, and nuclear system manufacturers. Its CORDEL (Cooperation in Reactor Design Evaluation & Licensing Working Group) has the goal of establishing an internationally standardized nuclear reactor supply licensing system. By standardizing the nuclear reactor design evaluation, it intends to assure the safety and aid in the construction of nuclear reactors by reducing the cost and duration.

KEPCO E&C plans to carry out its international activities befitting Korea's position as an UAE nuclear reactor exporting country, expand its base in the international markets, and actively participate in international activities and the WNA’s nuclear reactor design standardization program in order to reflect the superiority and economic efficiency of Korean nuclear reactor design.
