The objective of this consultation service is to review the thermal recirculation study to be carried out by KEPCO E&C with the dynamically coupled modelling system for the Shin-Kori Nuclear Power Plant Units 5&6 based on the reports and documents to be prepared by KEPCO E&C. To enable KEPCO E&C to carry out the thermal recirculation modelling, the Contractor will provide a 1-year license for CORMIX v8.0 GTR near-field model. In addition, the previously issued Verification and Validation Report for the dynamically coupled modelling system will be revised and updated to contain the validation against new near field data of the thermal dispersion of the cooling water that will be carried out by KEPCO E&C. |

Deltares is a co-developing company of dynamic coupled model which is compliance with regulatory body (KINS). To perform the technical review for the thermal recirculation study performed by KEPCO E&C, Deltares is a sole company who can provide an actual support in detailed model calibration and validation. In addition, V&V report of dynamic coupled model should be revised regarding additional survey data of Shin-Kori. Deltares is a sole company who can prepare or revise the V&V report of dynamic coupled model. |
