Campaign for Traditional Market Promotion

KEPCO E&C participated in the 17th Pyeonghwa Market Cultural Festival held in Pyeonghwa-dong, Gimcheon-si on October 17 and carried out the campaign for traditional market promotion.

The campaign is established to promote collaborative cooperation with local communities and economy by participating in traditional market festivals.

More than 200 KEPCO E&C employees and their family members participated in the campaign that included the shopping at the traditional market, distribution of PR materials for the traditional market, and observation of the opening ceremony of the Cultural Festival.

 “I hope that the small actions of our employees can help to overcome the sluggish local consumption. KEPCO E&C is committed to playing the key role for local development,” Uhm Ho-seop, Executive Vice President of KEPCO E&C, said.

Since relocating to Gimcheon Innovative City in 2015, KEPCO E&C has led the campaigns to promote local economy through the movement to encourage shopping at traditional markets, operation of the market for local to local specialty products, and purchasing products manufactured by local small companies.

KEPCO E&C plan to continue its efforts for shared growth with the local communities by revitalizing local markets and supporting small and medium size businesses by participating in various campaigns and events.
