K-SUPPORT Development Status Briefing Session

On September 1, KEPCO E&C held a briefing session on the development status of the "K-SUPPORT”, a data-enabled automation program for piping support design that is being developed as a collaboration project with SMEs.
The briefing session was attended by Joo Jin-Woong, head of the digital conversion division, and about 50 people related to piping support design from KEPCO E&C and partner companies.
Along with the co-developer Leebridge Co., Ltd., KEPCO E&C explained the design process improvement, features, and utilization plan according to the application of K-SUPPORT and discussed the applicability in the actual tasks with the participants.
The main features of K-SUPPORT include ① building a library of major suppliers, ② automation of onsite piping support modeling, ③ automation of factory piping support modeling, ④ automatic batch conversion among suppliers' products, and ⑤ fast model-tracking functions, etc.
Through this briefing session, it is expected that K-SUPPORT will be able to set the foundation for instituting a cooperative system to enhance an understanding of the field applicability and improve marketability.
KEPCO E&C is preparing to apply a data-enabled design system as part of the digital transformation promotion strategy. And it plans to secure competitiveness in nuclear power plant design by developing various data-enabled design automation S/W.
