○ Task 1. Review on the static instability evaluation n Static two-phase natural circulation instability evaluation results provided by KEPCO-E&C will be reviewed. - P&ID, Isometric drawings, System design criteria, System function deion, Ledinegg Instability calculation will be provided. - Principle of static two-phase natural circulation instability evaluation - Principle of two-phase pressure drop calculations - Equivalent channel assumption for SG - Resistance coefficient, K calculation - Correlations for two-phase pressure drop - Driving head - Consideration of waterlevel change - Evaluation ranges (power, subcooling, pressure, etc.) for developing instability map - Instability map ○ Task 2. Provide major static instabilities of PAFS n Major static instabilities that can occur in PAFS and evaluation methods for these instabilities will be presented and compared with static instability evaluation results provided by KEPCO-E&C. - Static instabilities which can occur in a two-phase natural circulation system - Evaluation methodology for each static instability - Selection of static instabilities for APR+ PAFS and evaluation - Instability maps - Comparison of selected static instabilities with static instability evaluation results provided by KEPCO-E&C ○ Task 3. Provide major dynamic instabilities of PAFS n Major dynamic instabilities that can occur in PAFS and evaluation methods for these instabilities will be presented. - Dynamic instabilities which can occur in a two-phase natural circulation system - Evaluation methodologies for each dynamic instability (Linear and Non-Linear Analysis) - Selection of dynamic instabilities for APR+ PAFS ○ Task 4. Provide major dynamic instability maps (Non-Linear Analysis) n Maps of major dynamic instabilities that can occur in PAFS based on non-linear analysis will be presented. - Draft version of RELAP5/MOD3.3 input deck for PAFS will be provided by KEPCO E&C. - Heat exchanger tube modeling - Input and output files for each evaluation case - Evaluation results (graph) - Dynamic instability maps ○ Task 5. Draft report documenting results ○ Task 6. Process Review Meeting The contractor shall host a 5 day meeting at the contractor's offices with KEPCO E&C engineers to conduct a review of the PAFS. - KEPCO E&C Engineers would provide an overview of the design. - The Contractor engineers would present results of review of KEPCO E&C calculation and evaluation on instabilities of PAFS. ○ Task 7. Final report documenting results
