KEPCO E&C received a level-2 grade (Very Good) on the 2022 Integrity Assessment carried out by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission.

The Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission carries out Integrity assessments of public institutions once every year (572 institutions in 2022) for the objective of improving awareness of ethics and spreading anti-corruption cultures in the public sector.

With the aim of operating the business ethically, last year, the company ▲ established an ethics risk management system for businesses, ▲ obtained ISO 37001(anti-corruption management system) certification, ▲ adopted a fair-trade compliance program (CP), ▲ operated age-group based ethical training program/ management-led campaign, and ▲ operated a partnership program for suppliers/subsidiaries. As a result, the company received scores of 90 or higher on both the observed ethical practice category and the level of ethical effort category, earning a level-2 grade for two consecutive years.

CEO Kim Sung-Arm said, “A level-2 grade for two consecutive years was possible because all employees worked hard to achieve it,” while adding, “Let’s work hard to take our business to the next level by further developing our ethics/compliance management”.

Building on the results of the 2022 Integrity Assessment, KEPCO E&C plans to continually improve on its weak areas and make steadfast efforts to earn the level-1 grade in the future by ▲ obtaining compliance management system (ISO 37301) certification, ▲ obtaining UN Global Compact (UNGC) Corporation and Human Rights Accelerator certification, and ▲ strengthening BOD’s oversight of ethics management.
