KEPCO E&C instituted the designated ‘Integrity, Ethics, and Compliance Awareness Month’ in the second half of 2022 for about 5 weeks from November 7 to December 13.
This event was held as part of activities to elevate employees' ethical awareness and instill a corporate culture of anti-corruption and integrity, which are conducted semi-annually every year. From the second half of the year, the compliance area was added to the theme of the event, and a strong determination to assume an exemplary and leading role in instilling a fair culture as a public corporation was emphasized.
Kicking off with the CEO’s message of voluntary compliance with fair trade, the event was held in a variety of ways to lead by example and enhance employee participation, such as announcing a written pledge relayed by executives, conducting a promotional campaign to prohibit abuse/workplace harassment for all employees, conducting training on prevention of sexual harassment and sexual violence tailored to high-ranking positions, operating a non-contact self-evaluation program for employees, etc.
In particular, in the field of compliance, remote online training was conducted in tandem with in-person training sessions by inviting professional instructors to allow a compliance culture to take root as part of corporate culture by internalization among employees.
President Kim Sung-arm emphasized, "During this designated awareness month, let's remind ourselves once again of the importance of anti-corruption, integrity and ethics, while also working together to establish a transparent and fair corporate culture."
