KEPCO E&C conducted volunteer activities on August 19 to support the restoration of damaged areas and allow people to get back to their everyday life.

Due to the mountainous geographical features of Toechon-myeon in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do where the volunteer activities were carried out, the flood damage was particularly severe. The affected households were more severely damaged by the landslide caused by heavy rain and flooding of the valley.

Labor union executives participated in the volunteer service under the hot and humid weather to give a hand to the flooded households by cleaning up the flooded furniture and clearing mud brought by the flood in the valley.

Volunteers encouraged the residents who had already been suffering during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic even before the natural disaster struck, expressing hope that “the volunteer group’s efforts and hearts will help the residents go back to normal life as soon as possible.”

KEPCO E&C plans to continue its activities to overcome disaster situations and contribute to the community.
