KEPCO E&C signed a business agreement for cooperation in ITER projects and radioactive waste plasma treatment projects with Vitzrotech and Vitzro Nextech at its head office in Gimcheon on December 8. The signing ceremony was attended by officials from each company, including the head of KEPCO E&C’s Nuclear Division Park Beom-seo, Vitzrotech CEO Yoo Byeong-eon, and Vitzro Nextech CEO Lee Byeong-ho. Vitzrotech and Vitzro Nextech are prominent in the field of nuclear fusion, having won KRW 50 billion worth of orders for ITER equipment supply projects over the past three years. According to the agreement, the three companies decided to cooperate in information exchange, technology interchange, and joint participation in bidding to expand the business in the nuclear fusion and plasma sectors. KEPCO E&C plans to secure a nuclear fusion supply chain and contribute further to the commercialization of nuclear fusion power generation in Korea by expanding its participation in the ITER project in cooperation with Korean nuclear equipment suppliers. |
