KEPCO E&C received an “ASME N-Certificate” renewal review by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, an authority on nuclear technology standards, from August 23 to August 26.

KEPCO E&C formed an ASME Certification Renewal Team based on the UAE nuclear power plant project and succeeded in certification renewal by proving the appropriate capability in establishing and operating the quality assurance system according to the latest ASME requirements.

The ASME certification means that KEPCO E&C has the qualifications to engrave the “ASME” seal under its name on nuclear plant design and products after manufacturing and installation.

KEPCO E&C renews its qualifications every three years according to the ASME nuclear power certification program to establish a foundation for the overseas export of nuclear power plants and increase international recognition for its quality assurance capabilities and company awareness.

The successful renewal of the ASME N certification has enabled the KEPCO E&C to enhance anew its project execution capability and public trust.
