On April 16, KEPCO E&C signed a contract with PT KPJB to provide the consulting service for performance improvement of the Tanjung Jati coal-fired thermal power plant in Indonesia.

PT KPJB is an Indonesian Joint Venture (JV) established by KOMIPO and PT PJB, a subsidiary of the Indonesian power authority (PLN), to operate and maintain units 3 and 4 of Tanjung Jati coal-fired thermal power plant. KOMIPO has a 51% equity share.

KEPCO E&C highlighted its project execution capability by participating in the local project development meetings and preliminary site survey and introducing a wide range of performance improvement records it had carried out in Korea and abroad based on solid trust it had built with KOMIPO and expertise through the engineering and consulting of many power plant units. It was able to receive the project order through several months of negotiation.

KEPCO E&C will utilize its specialized know-how accumulated from the engineering and EPC experience with domestic and foreign power plants to perform the diagnosis and consulting for performance improvement of main components, such as the desulfurization facilities and ventilation systems of two units of 660 MW coal-fired thermal power plants through the site survey and inspection for 6 months.
